The Gas Sendout series
The file GasSendout.txt contains two columns of records relating to daily gas sendout in a south east region of England from 1st September 1977 to 31st August 1978. The first column is the negatively correlated predictor of the sendout, based on temperature and other meteorological conditions. The second is the measure of gas sendout, which is essentially the gas consumption, but some is lost in transmission. The gas was largely used in domestic and commercial heating and cooking, hence the picture of the stove gas burner.
